CIFCA-Centre for Islamic Finance, Compliance and Advice, is a not-for profit non-govermental organization  professional body formed and registered in year 2010.

Among its objectives is to foster Islamic Banking and Finance in Tanzania and help stakeholders in this industry to practice Shari’ah compliant Banking and finance.

In so doing, CIFCA Advices various institutions offering Islamic Banking and Finance in the country about the best practices as well as offering them Shari’ah Advisors for their Shari’ah Boards.

To achieve this, CIFCA have liaison with the government supervisory and regulatory bodies, institutions offering Islamic Banking and Finance, academic institutions and the media.

CIFCA conducts trainings, seminars, online forums and media programs in order to raise public awareness and create institutional culture for Islamic Banking and Finance in Tanzania.

CIFCA co-operates with international bodies such a Accounting and Auditing Organization of Islamic Financial Institutions, Islamic Financial Services Board, ALHUDA-CIBE and other stakeholders in order to make Islamic Banking and Finance in Tanzania and indeed East Africa at par with international standards.
